Continuing Education

Florida requires agents licensed for less than six years to comply with 24 hours of continuing education. For agents licensed more than six years the law requires 20 hours.

The Florida School of Insurance is pleased to offer every course you need online as a convenient means of meeting these requirements. No classroom attendance necessary. All courses are approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services and most are approved by the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board of Standards, Inc. One certificate to satisfy both requirements!

Each person, as part of his or her required continuing education hours, must complete three hours of continuing education every two years on the subject matter of ethics. We are pleased to offer both a three and five credit hour ethics course online.

Please be advised that the Florida Department of Financial Services only carries forward excess continuing education credit hours for one additional term (i.e., the two years following your most current compliance term.)
